Greenchain Group designed and delivered an advanced surface water treatment system for Babylonstoren, one of South Africa’s leading agricultural and hospitality estates.
The fully integrated treatment plant converts surface water from the estate’s dam into a reliable supply of drinking water for use across the property, supporting accommodation, restaurants, staff facilities, farm operations, gardens and wider estate infrastructure.
Producing up to 15,000 litres per hour, the intelligent ultrafiltration system combines advanced treatment technology with Greenchain Group’s proprietary monitoring and control platform to deliver consistent water quality, operational efficiency and complete system visibility.
THE CHALLENGE

THE SOLUTION
Greenchain Group developed a customised treatment system designed around the estate’s operational requirements and source water characteristics.
Pre-screened dam water undergoes a carefully engineered treatment process incorporating clarification and advanced ultrafiltration membrane technology to consistently remove suspended solids, turbidity and other contaminants before distribution throughout the estate.
At the heart of the installation is Greenchain Group’s proprietary control platform, which continuously monitors key operational parameters, tracks plant performance and enables proactive maintenance.
